Abhijeet Gupta earned final GM norm

At balaguer open chess tourny 2007 Gupta earned his final GM norm and is set to become 16th GM of India. After eight rounds Soumya Swaminathan has ensured her final WIM (and IM)norm; Arun karthik earned a GM norm, Abhishek Das and Ashwin jairam have obtained IM norm; Padmini rout also obtained WIM norm.
Ashwin Jairam became IM and Soumya became WIM, both earning three norms in consecutive 3 tournaments!!!

Harikrishna finished third in Montreal international 10 player round robin chess tourny 2007. He performed well and defeated Emil Sutovsky and Nigel Short and Eljani Pavel.
In Quebec open 2007, Sandipan chanda and abhijeet kunte finished on second tied position.
