Anand won rapid section convincingly and came second to kramnik overall after 11 rounds in Amber rapid and blindfold super GM tournament 2007. Most of the super GM's were playing except topalov.
In the meanwhile sasikiran gave his worst performance in a round robin tournament in spain. He is going to loose at least 20 rating points.

Anand has won 14 round Morelia-Linares Super GM tournament 2007 with clear first position (ahead of Toppy, Swidler, Ivanchuk, leko, Aronian etc) in this prestigious category 20 tourny. With this Anand is most likely going to be new number one ranked player in the world!!!

Koltata International GM Open 2007 - Gopal and Sriram gets GM norm

Many foreign GM's participated in Kolkata international GM open tournament 2007. After 9 rounds, Gopal and Sriram Zha confirmed their first GM norm. Aditye udeshi, Lalit babu, Ratnakaran, Sethuraman, Kamble and Arghyadip das confirmed their IM norms.
